X-Factor Prediction

JAH-MAZING

Or What!

Have you heard of Jahmene Douglas? If not; crawl out from under your rock now!

He is only the best X-Factor contestants since (slice bread) Leona Lewis.

He not only has the cutest smile, that sends us girls ooooing and ahhhing all day long but he also has a voice that will send your knees wobbly.

Where oh where did he get that amazing voice from?

We think that he is a clear winner for this year, but in the true likeness of X-Factor who knows it could be Rylan Clark! (Eeeeek)

Do you love him just as much as we do and do you think he should win the X-Factor?

We want to hear from you as always

Bun Bun

Ways to wear the Bun

The bun hair-do has been around for years but now its time to spice it up a bit. There are so many ways to wear the bun and even accessories it. Below are some few ideas from our stylist at Qute Fashion

Ballerina bun

How to get this look:

  1. Gather your hair into a high ponytail, so its just about in the middle of your head
  2. Secure it with an elastic holder
  3. Smooth it with a brush or comb and if you would prefer more volume to your hair, just brush the end of the ponytail.
  4. Now twist your ponytail and then wrap around the base
  5. Insert bobby-pins to hold it in place and spray on to give it some gloss or perhaps some holding spray

Braided bun

How to get this look:

  1. Follow the steps 1-3 in the above step
  2. Braid the ponytail instead of twisting it
  3. Wrap the braided hair around the base of the ponytail and secure it with bobby-pins.

For those with shorter hair length:

This hair can also be achieved with the use of some hair extensions.

Follow the steps 1-3 in the above step

  1. Once your hair is secured with elastic, you can the add some extensions by braiding it to your hair
  2. Then wrap it around the base of the ponytail but make sure its extra secured with bobby-pins.

To go a step further....You can add some jewellery to your bun hair-do or most hairdo’s for that matter.

Hair jewellery adds elegance to a simple hairdo.

Below are a few examples of jewellery pieces that can be used in dressing up your hair.

  • Hair pearls
  • Brooch
  • Jeweled hair bands
  • Barrettes
  • Hair Zing

MISS UNIVERSE GB 2012

MISS UNIVERSE GB 2012

Qute Fashion had an amazing time at Miss Universe GB in Birmingham this year. We were there as sponsors to Miss Deborah Kolade a fantastic finalist. Read Deborah’s story here.

Did anyone say ‘Road Trip?’ The day started off as a very long drive to Birmingham from London! We arrived at the Grand Birmingham Town Hall, pleasantly greeted and ushered to our seating.

We were so excited to be there and seeing Deborah on stage representing for London as well as Qute Fashion! DK did an amazing job on the day and did us very proud, being able to deliver exceptional walk, smile and grace on the day! What a ★!

Deborah Kolade - Miss Universe GB Finalist 2012

The evening started with an opening dance from the lovely girls with DK leading at the front ;) Our girl has moves!

All the girls looked stunning in their evening wears! Deborah wore a gorgeous emerald green that fitted nicely to accentuate her figure, with detailed embellishments for a glamour finish.

The swimwear round was very impressive; DK donned a print swimsuit (of course). She looked perfect with a finishing touch of body jewelry.

As the evening drew on and we sipped wine whilst signing along with Adele’s tribute act, who by the way was very good! I almost thought it was the real Adele until she was announced as ‘tribute act’.

The intensity of the competition continued as we sat edged forward in our seats waiting for the top 5 to be announced. The 10 minutes we waited seemed so much longer. Finally Adele left the stage (not that we weren't enjoying her singing) but we really were anxious about hearing the announcements for the top 5!

The top 5 was announced and although DK Put up a great competition on the day, and we and everyone around her sent out positive vibes she unfortunately did not make the top 5. But nonetheless she is still a winner in our eyes and we wish her the best of luck for her future endeavors! Also don’t forget to check out her successful performance company ‘Fame Production Company’

We Congratulate the amazing Holly Hales who is the winner of Miss Universe GB 2012, Holly will now go on to represent UK at Donald Trump’s Miss Universe. We say Good Luck Holly and enjoy your new title as Miss Universe GB! Look out for interview with Holly in our upcoming monthly newsletter (subscribe to our newsletter today!)
Finally we want to say well done to all the girls at Miss Universe GB 2012, it is really brave to get up on the stage in front of hundreds of people watching your every move. You should all be proud of yourselves and we wish you the best in your futures!
